Default Homebrew TRUE CAI on two jeeps :D

Me and my buddy decided to make
a CAI for his 2000 and my 95. tell me what you think.

Both are sealed and cost overall around 40 bucks to make them both, that including the 30 bucks for the two air filters lol. Can feel a strong power difference in my little 4 banger.

Are there any inlets for the CAI to grab air from outside the engine bay?

It goes inline on the intake tube. If you suck up water (potentially hydrolocking), little flaps open inside so you still get fresh air and not pond scum puddle water into your engine

not a bad idea, my jeep doesn't get drove through water. She rarely leaves the road lol. Now the silver jeep.. that's a different story. I'd say he very well needs that lol. Also, a good hydrolocking would give me a good excuse for an upgrade to the 4.0

Its well worth the money for piece of mind....I've had them on two Hondas where the cai was 5-6 inches off the ground, saved my motor a few times. When I do my homebrewed cai, I will definitely incorporate one.

I plan to eventually run my intake in a place where I can easily hear it.
