I just done this last night for some extra front diff. protection, i just cut a stock pan and placed it over mine. I have to finish it later today, i just put studs where the stock bolts were, put a nut on them for the stock pan then slipped my cut pan over the studs and nuts and put another set of nuts on the cut pan and tightened it up sandwiching the cut pan to the nuts that hold the stock pan. It cost me nothing to do besides the $3 on paint.

How did you prep the two rods for paint?

by the look of the paint overspray on the pitman arm and bushings, he didn't do much else other than wipe them off (maybe?)

I just used the wire wheel on the grinder and degreaser on a rag, its been done for about a mouth now and seems to stick fine. I didn't get carried away with taping everything because i didn't think it was gonna stick.

here they are. you can see the old attachment point... haven't got the time or patience to take it off a 1/4 turn at a time right now. Oh and i also went out and got some 10awg wire to replace stock baja wires. Are the stock roof bars steel?? if they are i might be able to make an easier mounting and ground system.
whats the extended and compressed length or the lift support?
