I havnt done it on mine but I had an 89 waggy with towing pakage that had leafs and coilovers on the rear. Uncompressed the springs are 4 inches longer than the space where the shocks go so Im thinking they would work for a good three inch lift since there pretty stiff.

Painted my stock 5 spokes black, lots of write ups on here, this is the one I used to get an idea how to do mine, https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/si...ng-guide-7995/
This is what they looked like before, thanks to the Upstate NY winters

Cleaned them up to get rid of the surface rust and give the paint something to stick to.

Painted the front and the back the same, to prevent rust and provide a uniform look, a good tip is using the index cards, they fit perfect under the lip of the rim and save on tape/paper to prevent overspray.

Heres what they looked like finished

Cost mabye $20, had the primer left over from another project and saved some cash thanks to some discounts.
