Looks awesome! Now if only I could find a way to do the same thing with a mountain bike instead of a snowboard

Default On-Board Air

My On-Board Air System
I took the tanks from an 8 gallon gas powered compressor, separated them, cleaned one, welded feet on it, and painted. A 6gu wire runs from the battery to the comp. I used leftover fittings and some new parts with a used ($25) Viair 450P to complete the system.

Last wheeling trip it aired up 14 tires. It will run an air gun to remove tires etc...

It's a Viair 450P. I got it used for $25. Retails for almost $300!

Also Slime makes a great $50 comp. I and several friends also have a Slime Comp. Works great

lynskynbnd, that is a really cool deal on that fuel transfer!

I"m guessing the fuseable link wire jumper is to turn on the fuel pump while the vehicle is shut off?

About how long is that wire, 5" or 6"?

Also what gauge is it?

that is a really good idea. where do you place the wires that hook up to the amp ?

Ran them through the plastic trim. In retrospect it was a bad idea it sounded like crap. Now its in a sealed box behind my front seats.

I did something similar but used the stock ac pump and its crazy powerful. Runs air hammer impact etc. And it airs up tires fast. I used stainless steel tubing and nylon tubing and keep my line press about 150 and its still airing up tires when my buddy's $400 CO2 tank is dead!
