i just built one on friday. its pretty easy. just get rid off all the glass and whatnot out of the door. cut wherever you want and fill in the open spots with sheetmetal. here is what i did.

I cut the frame off the top of my half doors and I like how open it makes it without the frames. Ill post some pictures later if you want, just let me know.

Carefully. I used a really cheap welder and it made the process very long. Recently I bought a welder that has more settings and makes it easy to weld sheet metal without melting it away. Here are a few pic of mine. Like I said earlier, I cut off the door frames.

you sir, have convinced me to ditch the frame. and yes welding sucked. low power and low wire speed seemed to work best.

The metal button in the picture below opens it from both sides.

those look real nice. I made mine in four hours. Cut em, shoved random plastic and **** in it and used black duct tape over it, then spray paint. Just for a temporary solution. I also kept the window frame above. Loose alot of the strength if you get rid of em.
