I see where ping pong is coming from though. You can still smash it even raised.
That would be my luck LOL

Also to let ppl know to do a fuel cell right you wil be north of 350 by the time you buy a fuel cell fittings and a fuel pump. Also if you still have a closed in back you might have issues with fumes, and legality if your rig is still street driven.

Default Gas Tank Relocation

I see where the lip sits on the 1x1 square but how is it fastened down so it doesn't move and slide around? Bump for what I'm doing in two weeks!

And you reused the fill hoses to your new location? And what did you do for your fuel lines?

Maybe I overlooked it. Did you have to extend the fuel lines and the wiring for the fuel pump and sender?

I ended up welding 2 hoops per side and using ratchet straps. Was supposed to be temporary but it held up so I'm leaving it as is.

And I reused the factory fill and vent hoses.

Right on. Should be doing this after my trip to Gulches. Was only concerned with how the filler hoses attached to the gas cap area

N20

Thinking about doing the same thing, but will probably do a wheel base stretch also.

I already converted to triangulated 4 link, so stretch is not so bad, new links, drive shaft and move coil pockets back.

I think I will do a completely flat floor at the higher level.

Great work, I really liked your front bumper and winch also.

Last question, what size sheet metal did you use? A 4x8 sheet is kinda pricey from my local place. 14 gauge is $80, 11 gauge is $128.

Why not just build a box and leave the floor intact? Would completely remove the tank from the undercarriage but might raise it too high for the stock fill location

Would it raise the fill nozzle too high? I wanted to put mine in the back this spring but it be better to jeep it in the same area instead of opening the hatch to refuel. Mines getting beat to hell where it is now
