Cool Full size roof rack biuld.

hey im starting on a roof rack for my jeep. just thought id share. ill get some pics up soon of were im at. and its a low budget so its not the most prettyest thing u can put on a jeep but it will be heavy duty. .

ya i know i spelt build wrong but heres some pics first one is what i got for the rack i need to pick up more 1.5'' 1/8" square tubing. and the second is the jeep its going on. (i built the bumper ) mind you im only 18. ima cutting off the gutter mounts on the flimsy weird looking rack thats on the jeep now. i think its a surf board rack or something im not sure came with it when i bought it :P

hey thats cool. i just built one for my jeep. ive got about 140 tied up between metal and lights. its not that hard. also i used steel mesh for the floor of mine. thats prob. the most expensive part.

i bought more metal and now all the framing is sized up. just gotta weld it together tonight ima wait on the flooring of the rack till i find something that works best. it should be on the jeep tonight

ya i am probly going to make one just like that, what are your dimensions? i think if i get a rough size ill go to school and draw one up on autocad. than make one up.

when i built this one i used bbq grading (expanded metal) and it worked out great!!! i'm just waiting for my lights to come in and get installed!

i welded it and it came out bad the welding rod was old and it started to rain on me. ima have to re do it but ya thanks i might just leave it how it is. lol gives it character. kinda ill take a pic of it tomaro when theres light out. first time using a welder thats used rods. so ya learning proses but its fixable

sorry for not keeping up on this. the project came to a halt... what good are flaky friends ... so ima have to figur it out on my own and i dont have alot of time do to workin... but ill keep it updated best i can. ima try to re disign it better and a lil smaller
