So I know this has been covered over and over again but for a guy like myself that does nothing but paint cars all day long this is a big thing for me :-) my first try at some real fab work so bare with me here I should have it done by Saturday here is what I have so far please feel free to critique and assist in ideas
Attachment 219044 Made cardboard cutouts first then cut them out of steel 3/16 plate Attachment 219045 Attachment 219046 I'm sure everyone has ran into this well thought out plan from mopar! I bought one from jcr offroad should be here Thursday Attachment 219047 Had to reem the holes a little just so I could get so adjustment out of them have all grade 8 hardware Attachment 219048 Tied the steering box in and the one open spot all the way out back as well as the original bumper mounts have the box tubing cut and ready to start welding in tomorrow still hve a long way to go but enjoying it so far more to come throughout the week |
Not a bad start. Make sure you prep your material before you weld it. Have you considered recessing your winch? I've noticed you aren't lifted very high, so your approach angle is going to suffer if you have it stick out a bunch.

2 things.
1. I believe that he meant recessed as in completely behind behind the bumper. I'm not quite finished with my bumper yet but you can see where the fairlead will be mounted and I plan to install the winch on the back side of the bumper. You have to remove the factory crossmember where your tag is mounted to have enough room. http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...ps21b09f07.jpg 2. Please replace your headlights. "Angry Eyes" are so 1997. |

i would like measurements as you go along if you dont mind.i know once you start rolling its hard to note everything and snap pics.i built my rear bumper a couple months ago and i never welded before...now i love it..the front seems its going to be alittle more complicated.
