So I decided to finally take advantage of the fact that I work in a mech shop ...
and that I hit a guardrail with my poor jeep and need a new bumper (among other things..)
This is my first build thread, one of my first posts, and my first time experimenting with welding.
Opinions and constructive criticism please!

Today was day 1:
I cut two 5' x 4" exhaust pipe, not entirely sure how it would do if I really put it to the test,
but I beat it on a few things first to see how it would hold up. lol No dents. We'll see.

Tack welded the pipes with some spacers, so I could get a visual.
I'm debating on what to do with the ends - just cap them off?
I was thinking about cutting the bottom tube at an angle,
sort of making a flat side and putting a cap on the top?
Any ideas?

I think it will work.
More tomorrow..
More tomorrow..Day 2:
Really busy day at work today so not much time to work on the bumper.
Fixed some of my front end, though.
Here's what it would look like if I don't change my mind lol
