Well making these doors was my first welding experiance so im not an expert but did learn a few things. I did all the welding with a really basic welder and it made the process twice as long. The best advise is just spend the money on a nice welder and dont try it will the bottem scale equipment. Sheet meat is hard tolearnon cause you can blow holes in it in seconds. I recently got a new welder that is much more capable to work with sheet metal. Its up to you on the welder but make sure you get one that has alot of different settings. You want to be able to turn down the power as much as possible so you dont burn straight through the door. If you are looking for different brands, check out lincoln or miller.

Hello
If you can get the most expensive welder you can afford.
Get the Gas attachment and some gas.
Welding with solid wire is cleaner and easier.
Practice on scrap and get your setting perfect before you start.
Clean your surfaces really good get all paint and contaminants off.
It should sound like frying bacon if the setting are right.
Good Luck

I was in the same possition. So I got one of the cheapest welders I could find and started teaching myself. My welds looked like someone threw up metal but I practiced a bunch and these doors were the finished product. "no excuses, play like a champion" so save up for a welder and get started.

Sadly, I havent gotten any work done in two weeks so no real update. I was really busy and then once I finished everything, it was time to relax. Ill probably try to get started on them again this week.
