Taking a break from Fab work to work on the interior, made some custom door panels out of a front and rear panel, used a spray dye and some country model wood to spruce up the basic base model interior

Here are some interior upgrades I’m working on, mainly just mock ups, but alittle fab work splicing in my old MJ shifter and deleting my XJ j-hook Tcase shifter and replacing the XJ shifter with a taller better angled YJ shifter. I used the old head liner and removed a section spliced it back together to fit the new cab size and applied a carhartt canvas as my new header, I also added a inclinometer and some switches for futures lights to a junk yard wood dash I picked up in my effort to spruce up the base level of trim

I have also added new JK seats from a 2009, and scraped the old XJ seats, I’m still in the process of fabing the new brackets

Using a spray dye to match the old yellow Comanche interior trim to the XJ grey interior

The other side new door panel spliced together and some junk yard upgrades door arm rests freshly spray dyed

Wow.

From the first cut to it's current state, how long have you been building it?

Bravo. But you made one mistake.

You should have made the bed longer and added a second rear axle

I plan on shortening the rear departure angle, making the bed 4.75” making it even shorter by about 4”

although it did cross my mind to make a 6x6 I figured maybe on my third crewmanche build, I still gotta build a Baja prerunner next

Wow. what an ambitious project. And only two months this much progress? It took me 9 months to cap the frame rails, replace the suspension and brakes on my TJ. Kudos to you.

progress is slow now, I’m down to just 1 day a week to work on it, I was working around the clock the first month and a half, hopefully I’ll be test driving it by summer, but in all reality it will probably be next winter
