I got a buddy that's a distributor in LA that gives me good deals. Lowriders were my first love just don't have the money for it anymore

As for the rack I wire brushed the welds. Degreased and primed the welds then a coat of bedliner. Hope to install it and wire the lights up tomorrow. If its dry in time

Did you prime it first? Tremclad makes a primer for galvanized. It'll give you more protection. My buddy who is a licensed body mechanic, licensed mechanic and licensed welder told me that the undercoating / bed liner is porous and eventually will rust so put on a good layer of that first! Galvanized will rust eventually

How strong is it in the middle? can you walk on it? I can stand on them! But closer to the middle of the rack and it warps. I see you put a lot more then four 4 ft sections. I can stand on the vertical part its super strong. These are the lights I ordered for mine

They run every 7" on center. Welding it wasn't bad. Just a PITA wearing a respirator

I actually read a bunch of stuff about that apparently you feel sick for a couple days and there are no long term effects I welded under an exhaust fan and I was fine

thats the main reason why i don't see why everyone is building a rack out of this stuff.

everyone says its cheap but so far i've built many rack out of 1" or 1.25" .60 HREW and its the same cost and stronger yet less dangerous

but the rack does look good BTW
