the commonly accepted method of doing this takes much less effort

basically you cut the bottom half of the hinge off and the doors just pull right up and off.

wont fold, fully functional..

+ if you get the trim edging from Autozone that wraps around metal edges, you can avoid unwanted body scrapes as the doors are taken off and put back on..

just my $.02

good luck

On mine I just used trailer wiring connects. It seems to work pretty well.

I wheel the hell outta mine with the doors off & I've had no problems with tweakin the body! I hope all were kidding, cause if the structure was banking on the doors your windows would pop quick as s***!

I cut the bottom of the hinges off on mine and it works great. I did not know there were connectors to extend behind the kick panel but will need to check that out. If not I am looking for some hardcore connectors to use.

yea it was a joke.

doors have zero support on the unibody.

it will flex and bend the same with or without them on.

The only contribution the doors make for structure is in a side impact...

On the other hand, ZJs have simple to remove doors. 4 bolts, non-alignment critical even, and the wiring harness has a torx head bolt to disconnect the speakers/windows/locks....

Just have to remember to roll the back windows down before removing the front doors...
