Default Dynomax tail pipe, Borla muffler, Walker down pipe (installed w/pics)

I wanted to answer some questions about the Walker down pipe, Dynomax tail pipe, etc.

1. The walker down pipe doesn't have the dent by manifold that restricts air flow. 2.5" pipe. Factory fit.

2. The Dynomax tail pipe is 2.5" mandrel bend pipe. It doesn't hit my extended hangers from the lift. Which is a good thing. I have seen others on here that do hit.

3. Borla muffler isn't loud. Above factory.

4. Magnaflow hi flow cat, well its a hi flow. Nothing to add.

Muffler comparision (sound & horse power) of Flowmaster, Borla, Magnaflow, etc, etc. This is why I choose Borla. Quiter, more horse power!

That's the exact same set up I have been thinking about. I've always ran borlas on my v8's. Can you put up a video or two??

I was looking at doing something similar. The thing with the walker down pipe is that it's crush bent. The factory down pipe is mandrel bent. I bet it's restricting flow more than the factory dented pipe.

I also must admire the cleanliness on your undercarriage. I will never have the drive to do that. Lol

So if I read correct the down pipe goes from 2.25 in and exits at 2.5?

Walker says 2.5". PIc above included. Looks 2.5"

Let me add, I can tell added power off the line. For sure. Is it from a new cat added? I don't know. Is it from the new O2 sensors added? I don't know. Bigger pipe? I don't know. But, I can feel it. Wife went for a ride also, and she noticed write away also.

Thanks. My YJ was just as clean. I try to keep my stuff clean.

As for flow. I can testify that the exhaust "by the feel of my hand" flows much better than stock. I can feel it much further back.

Thanks. I am very happy with the setup and power gain. Tons of air flows out now. You can hear it.

so does it bolt right up to the stock header/manifold?
I have an apn that I am going to install and I was wondering what would work and what wouldnt...I am almost wondering if it would be cheaper to have an exhaust shop make one..

Yes, everything bolted right up. Took installer about 45min from start to finish. He also replaced both O2 sensors for me.

I had the shop do my last tail pipe. $40 charge. It was crush bend. That's why I ordered it this time around.

As the first picture shows, no contact. Or, watch the video. You can see it clears. Great setup!
