Default Decided it was time to make a bumper.

Well i made this bumper over the weekend and i was wondering what everyone thought. I used 2x2 12ga, used a complete 24ft stick, and i used about 10ft of 1.5x1.5 12ga. I used a lincoln mig welder. Let me know what you think.

looks good. i like the smaller square tubing, never seen a front bumper made from that small of square tubing. and it looks pretty structural.
but mighta gone a bit thin on metal choice but i deff understand using whatcha got/can afford.

but ideally a front bumper would be at least 3/16ths thick.
and 12gauge is a little thinner than 1/8th inch.

just my .02cents

Thanks, i think its 1/8 but couldnt remember, its thicker then what the original bumper was made from and any improvement is a good one, also it weights like 60 to 70 pounds.

Thanks! At the moment it just slips onto the front stock bumper mounts, i did this for a mock up to see how it would go. All i have to do now is make the frame supports. I have not finished because i am busy building a swing out tire carrier to mount on a guys warn bumper (business comes first). Ill have this finished up soon. I would really like to build and sell some of the things i have been making.
