Here is the bumper my brother in law built this weekend. We used the 5/16 frame of a Ford F-650 to make the bumper. The unibody tie ins were 3/16, and used 6 bolts on each side. The ends near the flares were tied strait to the unibody for extra strength. I wanted something different and this is what I've got. I still need to grind everything and bedcoat it. What do u think? Mad max? Deception? Or a knights armor?

 

Looks good. but it hangs down REALLY low

 

The point on the bottom in the muddle is as low as the stock bumper, the rest is mor clearance then I'm used to. It looks bigger due to it being thin on the top I think. It's VERY SOLID too. the point specifically was made for covering up the crossmember located behind it. I can always cut it off if I get issues. Thanks.

 

Yeah it does look like it hangs down low. But if you said it doesn't then its just the picture then. You should run some steel or something to make it look like a better transition from the center section the the outsides. Other then that though, I like it. Good use of what you had laying around and you even tied it into the unibody which a lot of people skip that step.

im with everyone else, it looks low, but if you say its equal to stock thats not to bad. and working on the transitions between parts i think would make it look better. last thing is those d rings, they look really good. but make sure they have some super wields or they wont hold for crap. (but im sure you know that)

 

Maybe use the reciever for a removable winch mount?

let me know if you can find a reciever hitch mounted winch for a good price, cause i cant seem to find one over 3000lb. (not enough to pull my jeep out of a mud hole)

 

you have to buy the winch and reciever cradle seperate......
