cutting the top off

cutting the top off
i want to cut the top of my jeep and throw a roll cage in it. is there any thing i should know before hacking it off if theres any pic that would help

never done it myself but xjs are a unibody so the roof is part of the structural support of the entire jeep. i would make sure to basically make the cage support the entire vehicle like a tube chassis thats incorporated into the body so it doesnt do anything bad on you. thats my $.02

Before I would cut the top off I would think you should add some frame stiffeners and then make the cage before you cut the top off. That way it won't move on you.
