I know on some of the "go fast" cars, they have to use hood pins to keep
the hood closed and also had to use a lighter spring to hold them open.

its easier to use pins cause then you dont need to put a fiberglass support across the front to secure the stock latches

and we dont have hood springs lol but they do lighter springs cause those are the lightweight hoods and dont need so much. the pressure when closing hood would rip the mounting points out.

Idk where you're located, but if it's anywhere with hot, sunny summers then you don't want to bedline the roof. That stuff absorbs A LOT of heat and will make your rig miserable in the summer. (Speaking from personal experience)

do you know if that heat shield stuff would work if i laid it on the inside of the roof? i was just thinking bed liner for durability when i throw stuff up there..and yea im in california, and it gets pretty darn hot during summers...ill see what i come up with lol

hey looks great so far i made a one side scoop, kinda like a talon hood with a opening but anyway i was going to make another one like yours. my problem was i was worried about creasing the middle where the indented part is. did yours try and crease when you bent it?

Heat matting does help, but you will still get a good amount of heat radiating through there.
