I figured while I was out taking pictures of my Jeep in the snow I would take a pic of the antenna mount. This picture was taken during "blizzard" conditions.

And I see the rust.... I need to take it off an paint it, but one of the bolts where it mounts to the body is a PITA to get to.

Mine is a three foot cobra antennae that has a mirror mount which is bolted to the stock roof rack, you need longer bolts than what comes with it but fits perfectly

cut up a peice of angle alluminum and came up with this

yea they are self tapping but they keep backing out just enough to give the mount a little wobble. im just gunna put some small bolts with nuts on the back

I have not looked but i guess since you are putting nuts on the back, then it is accessible, right?

yea it is accessable if you take the tail light housing off theirs two big holes you can stick your hand through. i also ran the wire through one of those big holes
