i want your guys input, i have abot 6 fet of 5 inch channel from a project that were doing right now so how would you guys make it into a rear bumper???

 

add some brackets to the back and tie it in to the "frame rail"

 

im in the same boat. im thinking about making my rear bumper here pretty soon. i want to have a wrap around bumper to my rear fenders for extra clearance and protection. also i wanna put some D rings and a hitch for recovery. just some ideas.

 

Here is what I did, just to give you ideas, only I used square tubing and only steel sidewalk edging.


If you search "SwampDonkey" and look through his posts you can find his bumper builds. He used onld fork lift extenders, which is basically channel. His turned out better than mine, and he had hitches.

 

i will also have a lot of 3 inch channel left over, i cant remember the size of the 5 or the 3 off the top of my head but its thick, were making a flat bed for a chevy and it takes like 5 people to lift the *****.

if anyone has AJ's off road, his rear tanker bumper let me know what you think of it. i plan on building it somewhat like that! i would put a link up but his website is wacked somethings up it says server not found and i cant access any pics of his thru google images.
