I was thinking about making something similar. Butch's Speed(or offroad) Shop has a couple of column mounts (adjustable and not) that you can use tubing for the wheel to the linkage, then mount everything with sheetmetal how youd like. I might just start this up soon, but not 100% sure yet. (also in vegas, can give directions if needed)

you should just take a taser, and wire it to the door handle, so one contact is on the inside of the handle, and another is on the button...so when you lock the car, it arms the taser and when somebody tries to open the door, they get zapped.

i just keep a bible on my dash and my moms old police badge hanging from the rear view mirror
but even then i had someone break in and raid my center console. they got $160 out of it. even after having to dig under my keys to the jeep and my bible.
but luckily i knew who it was and me and my brother took care of it

My Jeep has been broken into 7 times and stolen twice. My current setup is helping to deter theives, but if they want it, they are going to get it. I know a guy who steals car from woman beaters in his free time and parts them out. He rolls up in a tow truck, hooks up to the car, and is gone in 2 minutes. Who is going to call the cops when they see their neighbors car being towed away???
My current setup is...
-Full 6 tone alarm system with shock sensor
-Fuel cutoff switch
-Locking gas cap
-Steering wheel lock
-Removable AW4 shift **** (Can't steal it without putting it in gear =P)
-4 door central locking system
-Headunit bolted to firewall with removable faceplate
-Loud exhaust (Start it without my hearing it.. I dare you)
-My old badge from when I worked security
-.12 guage at front door for when people "Come to look at it at 5am"
Future additions to security:
-Battery cutoff switch
-Secondary battery in locked, bolted down steel box in trunk for alarm with steel pipe to run wires through so they canno be cut
-Fuel door switch for alarm
-Hatch switch for alarm
-Hood switch for alarm
-Steel bars for quarter panel windows (Go ahead... ask why....)
-Cover for trunk to hide the three Apline Type R's, Alpine Flex 2 amp, and 150lbs+ of handtools
-ACT235 and a real gun
for those late night visits

I live right outside of Allentown and two of my jobs are in Allentown. The Jeep attracts A LOT of attention where ever I go, and especially through Allentown. I'm the last house on the top of Lehigh mountain, and a dead end road. I know people aren't just passing through and stopping to look at it; they come here for that reason.
