I havn't tried it in my XJ, but I took the AC/heat controls out of the dash in my Neon, and moved them down to the center console. Just extended some lines and it worked out great. Neon was a Din and a half, but to fit the Double din in it had to be moved. I moved my stereo up to the overheard console. Took it down to make it better, havn't put it back up yet though.

well... with more time and little more work i could have made it fit better.. in time I will refine it.. but for now its in and everything working.. Not alot of fun.. prob the hardest radio install i have done..... had to cut part of defroster tube and rework it... just to get radio in the hole..

nice work, I found out how much of a pita it was to move down the heater controls, when I did my overkill A/C upgrade, still gotta repaint to match, but the dogs are a lot cooler on the trail, wifes not liking it, for some reason her High Beams are always on- haha

I got so tired of trying to fit stuff into the dash, that I decided to put my stereo up into a console on the headliner. But seriously, stuffing a double din into an XJ dash.....serious kudos!
