I tried to use my torch to heat up the pipe so I could bend it but low and behold my tank is empty. just my luck haha so I improvised and cut 45 degree angles on each end of the pipe.

I just need some type of triangle like brace right there to weld to. any ideas guys?

By the way here is every piece cut out and ready to weld minus the triangle like brackets I need. and Im gonna coat it in herculiner. I have some left over after I did my floors in my jeep.

The outside pieces are the top part of the rack and the inside pieces are the base.

I was gonna use my torch to heat the pipe up to bend it easier, but its out of gas and im out of money till friday. This scaffolding is a lot stronger than thin wall conduit I realized so I improvised which I explained in other pictures

get some 2" flat bar and make traingles to weld on the top and bottom of the tube. will give you a flat surface to mount a post in the corner as well.

So I know its been like 6 moths since I first started this thread but I finally got around to finishing this dang thing. I got a welder for my birthday in August and ended up cutting the 45s off and just butting the ends together. and this is how it turned out after I painted it with herculiner.

Here are some with it mounted...

ahahahah yeah it was at first because I wanted to see how it looked and felt up there. but then I put the floor on it and now u-bolts hold it on. Ill prolly get some gutter mounts or make some soon. Its tough and rugged with it being on the stock rails but I want that added security lol

yeah cant beat free material. all in all I think I spent like $20 on it mayb if that. Oh yeah that would work well. most people on here make there's out of Conduit and I found out that stuff is pretty weak. so you should be good with fencing rails. you can bend them or just butt them like I did.
