The place was busy yesterday, so I just placed an order, and will be picking them up monday or tuesday.

finally updating it after awhile. My buddy ran into some trouble on his jeep, so it's going to be awhile longer. though hopefully I'll be getting it friday or saturday, but I'm not sure. I don't really care because it's not needed until June.

anyways, here's a pic I got of the progress so far awhile ago, so I'm not sure what it looks like now.

Looks like it has plenty of supports! Should be strong.

yeah, someone else made a roof rack of similar size using 1/16th thick steel that was 3/4" square tubing and it held 2250 lbs of stuff, and only 4 gutter mounts. I think mine will be plenty strong = )

ahh, I see. My mistake on the number. 1k lbs is still a lot. Not sure honestly. Buddy is still welding it. he says I will have it by May 5th hopefully. I'm meeting him on friday to work on another jeep, so I can talk in detail with him about it then.

yeah....the guy who's welding it for me had some issues with his jeep, that set him back. he's also an extremely busy guy. I need to learn how to weld.
