Alright guy here is the deal, I am glad someone on this forum knows something about jeeps and had a resonable answer for me. As for you guys with the whole air shock thing have you been to any other sites and looked at other builds...? Why the hell would I or anyone else for that matter want to do that for offroad?!?! As for not to hillbilly that guy can build a jeep. (I have seen his work)

You have to take into account that the majority of the members on this forum do drive their Jeeps on a daily basis. Most of us are not building hardcore rock crawlers on the limited budgets that we have and are not familiar with the technology and equipment that is available for extreme offroad use. Pardon my own ignorance for not having ever seen or heard of that style of shock. There is need for anyone to start bashing each other of this.

Limited budget!! I am on a very limited one myself. Anyone on this forum that has a name brand lift or long arm can afford this. I have aways turned to this site for any xj info that I have needed. The people on this site have always been helpful. If you guys would like I will do a build thread on this build and give prices of what I have spent.

Going with full with axles d44 front and d60 rear (paid $100 for the set!) running 38.5" tsl, full hydro stearing, air shocks on all four corners, 3 link on the front, one link su joint on the rear. Not to sure on the ride height just yet, I had a 6 inch on it before running 35s swampers on it so I will need be bigger then that. I will have a pretty good idea of ride height and some picture up on friday night. I am going to TRY and keep this build under the 3000 mark.

Yes I am. I think I am going to make my own though. All the ones I have seen seem to be so thin. I have a few ideas so we will see what the old plasma can cut up.
