Default Aftermarket bumper dent repair

Got myself into a little fender bender...damage from the truck hitch in front of me. Repair or replace? Money's a little tight at the moment just weighing out my options. TIA.

It could be straightened after you take it off, I would be more concerned about the uniframe tip being tweaked.

Try a small hydraulic jack between the front unibody and that bumper. Slowly push the damage out. I’d also put a piece of 2x
tween the jack and the the unibody to distribute the force.

I wouldn't do that, Its just thin sheet metal on the jeep right there, you'd likely end up just bending the heck out of the jeep.

I'd go for the old chain/strap and a big tree method.

Can you weld? Got a torch? I would take the bumper off the jeep and straighten it with a press, torch or cut/weld. The finish is going to get wrecked, but nothing some rustoleum can't fix. I wouldn't try to fix that on the jeep, as others have stated the unibody on these XJs is barely more than tinfoil.

Im sure the bumper can be fixed once removed, then you will see what else is damaged. Thats a nice bumper who makes it and where did you get it

Looks like you could cut that flimsy center section out and weld in some new plate

What did it do to the unibody where the bumper mounts?
