Yup! Amazing group of rigs for October!
Hey Tom! You do have an awesome rig. I just saw your build and you have done a great job on that XJ. It looks like a show rig, and I have to admit, I heard the word magazine and immediately fell in to that mind set instead of doing some detective work on my own (like Mike did ) and seeing just what was what. Thank you, it taught me a little something about myself witch isn’t always easy to except. One should never assume. So I apologize for that, and Thanks Mike for pointing that out. Again Good luck to all.

Wish I could lay cl;aim to the cage work. I had to farm that work out. I had a choice of trying to build my cage over vacation, or build a 600SQ FT deck for the house. Since the deck would have cost me way more to have a cage built.. I built the deck.
Ground pounder Fab is who did the cage work. He has an ebay shop where he sells bumpers, and makes cnc plasma cut parts. Eddie is a good guy to deal with too, down to earth and he is a wheeler.
I admire what you do with your Cherokee!!!! The wife and I volunteer for a group called Colorado F.E.A.T. (Four Wheel Drive Emergency Response Team). We are the not-for-profit committee of the Colorado Association of Four Wheel Drive Clubs, Inc. (CoA4WDCi), which assists emergency services personnel during times of crisis in the Denver Metro area.
FEAT is also providing emergency services to Jefferson County’s (Jeffco - OEM). This service could include moving supplies and personnel to firefighters using our 4wheel drive vehicles or assisting in floods, or other services in which JeffCo may need help. During heavy snow storms will pick up and drop off Medical personel to the Hospitals they work at if they can not get there on their own. I thank you for what you do with your Cherokee. Most people don't get to see the other uses that these rigs get.
Don't worry about the comments. I get them all the time about being a pretty 4WD. Little do they know how hard we wheel our rig. We take it through the toughest of trails here in Colorado and Moab. Ask the Colorado guys what Independence Trail or Buena Vista Carnage looks like. I take pride in the fact that the wife can drive our Cherokee through 10+ rated trails and come out with no body damage. The thing that kind of really bothers me is the comment of how much money I spent on my rig. If you look at it and really knew me, you would now that most of the stuff on my rig was designed and built be me in my garage. I am lucky that I have access to a machine shop where I can build some of the items. At one time when Matt was half owner of TNT Customs I had access to get custom pieces cut and bent for me. I have been doing this for some time know and it does bother me that people think I just wrote a check for this rig over night. It has been a 6 year project and I am proud of the awards we have recieved. It gives me some sense of accomplishment on what I have spent so much time designing and building. But with all that the one thing I get most out of our Cherokee is the countless hours I get to spend with my friends and family seeing places that 99.9% of the people in the world will never see because of were I can take our rig. That is what this is all about, being able to spend more time with my friends and family making memories we will never forget.

I can attest to the fact that Tom wheels the **** outta his rig. Looks good and wheels good. I can also tell you folks that Tom is stand up guy and goes out of his way to help others. When I busted a steering knuckle wheeling by myself on Wheeler Lake Trail, Tom was one of the first people I heard from offering no only parts but was willing to make a early 3 hour trip to the trail to help me out. I ended up getting a ride on a trailer from someone a little closer to home, but the offer was gracious and without pretense.

Hey Guys. First of all, I want to say Nice Rigs to everyone!
All the rigs up there are great and all deserve this title in some way or another. I am Jake, Richliveshot's son. With that being said, I would simply like to address the squabble going on here. I dont believe anyone here (including my father) said or meant anything that was meant as a put-down to Tom. I watched your videos on youtube Tom, and I am impressed by your rig. From what I can see, the only reason people think its a "Show Truck" is because of the fact that it just doesn't look like something the average Joe would drive. Tom, I want to clarify, Incase there is any confusion, that was NOT meant as a put-down. I think its great that you pay so much attention to detail on your rig, and the fact that you were in Crawler Magazine. The fact that you did everything in your garage is great. I also think its great that you, (As well as I) are both parts of Non-Profit organizations. I just think we need to realize that this is an internet site, not an appendage measuring contest. The reason we are all here is because we love to wheel, and we love our Cherokees (And Grand Cherokees and Full-sizes too)
My 2cents.
I apologize now for those who I have made upset by posting this.
