dude that thing is sweet! I'm really surprised how well it worked, especially for being 1924 when it came out. dang.

i was thinking the exact same thing! it seems like those cylinders would need less maintenance than a track... and the seem too be just as if not more effective. kinda makes ya wonder what happened to those prototypes too lol

even if its something they used in alaska , the machines they use there seem more complicated then anything , i bet you that thing is in someones barn somewhere , lol lets go look for it

lol, yeah, it's actually pretty interesting. i was trying to figure out how the steering worked with those big corkscrews until i saw the close up of the steering linkage going to the back end.

my grandpa would probably love this. he has a 1932 Farmall he bought for a couple hundred bucks. over the course of a year he torn the thing down, repainted all the parts this bright fire engine red, and put everything back together. thing runs like it was brand new again. a big old 3-speed with tires on it that would probably make most of us jealous on the forum.

haha yeah you start over there and work your way west ill work east and meet in the middle first one to find it keeps it and the loser buys the beer! we could have our own reality tv show!

well the beauty of it was that it was designed to be swapped on and off so the tractor and or car would go back to normal wheels and tires when you didnt want to use those cylinders... would be sweet to be able to swap it on and off your xj when winter rolls around lol
