So its been a long time since Ive done an update on my rig here. Been pretty busy with school and classes. But I finally got the shackles installed a few weeks ago. So she sits leveled now. I also started on a new rear bumper design. Any thoughts?

Its an 84 toyota so it came with a solid front axle from factory. Plans are to add a water tank and air tank under the truck for camping and tools. So ill be relocating my spare to the rear bumper. I also want to eventually get a roof top tent for it and use the bed to store my gear and 2 mountain bikes.

Nice Yota! at times i wish i would have gotten a yota instead of my xj, it came down to a friends toyota with a brand new 22re and 31's or my xj, i got the xj because it was newer but i wish i had a truck. I cant wait to see more of your expo build!

To tell you the truth, Im contemplating on selling my Jeep to fund this build further. I don't drive the jeep enough to justify keeping it, and realistically the only reason I havent sold the heep is because Id be losing my *** on it. But you never get what you put into any rig period. But I will be updating this thread periodically when some more parts and stuff begin to roll in.

Right now as the truck sits, I just sleep out of the bed with a sleeping bag. Planning on adding a secondary battery soon and power outlet to the back to run some electronics.

thats one of my "way in the future" plans, ive been converting most of my lighting to leds to decrease the strain on the battery (even though im adding a few more...kinda counter productive...) and im going to eventually do a cowl intake so that i can have a large second battery under the hood.

Thought Id bump this thread up and update this a little bit.

Recently acquired a vinyl cutter so I can make my own custom decals and logos. I made the TRD expedition logos ont he bed. Also the yota got a small facelift, blacked out grill and trim. I also began on building the rear bumper. And also recently picked up a new Tcase to run a doubler set up with dual cases.

Well decided to drop in for a lil and see what everyone has been up to. Found this old thread and figured I'd update it while im in here.

My build thread is over at Expedition Portal:
http://www.expeditionportal.com/foru...-84-Expo-Build

Not much has been done to the truck cosmetically. Did a lot of upgrades though. Regeared the truck to 5.29 gears, chromoly longfield shafts, chromo hub gears, lockers and diff guards. Regeared my Tcase to 4.7 gears in low. dual battery system, and new CB. Getting ready for new suspension and steering here soon. In the meantime I have been have a lot of fun with the lil yota taking it to new places. Also added a few new hood decals that I printed off:
