My daily driver. 04 focus. Truck was killing me on gas so I picked this little thing up.

 

Best thing isn't it. I roll a VW Jetta 30+ mpg and saves wear & tear on the XJ How's the focus on gas? It's got a 1.3 in it doesn't it?

 

Focus has a 2.0 fun 130 HP

I get about 28-35. Depends how I drive. My commute is 70 miles one way mostly highway. Usually 30-31. But I've squeezed out 35 a few times.

 

Nice, I actually get reimbursed for my commute to & from work (52 miles 1 way). My Jetta's making me money every day. 2.0 130-135 for my Jetta too if memory serves me correct.

 

Lucky you! I wish I got reimbursed. I'd just use the truck if I did haha.

But this place I work is a joke. Can't wait to get outta here.

 

Would love to have a little cheap civic or something as the DD, unfortunately non-resident insurance prices are ridiculous - so much so that i pay more in insurance a week that I do in gas for the XJ (assuming no long trips).. so yep, it's the XJ for me as a DD. Still, makes me feel like a boss in the mornings.

My 01 330ci, Sold the XJ in my profile picture to a friend of mine (Dont EVER sell anything to your friends) after the throw out bearing went on it. Needed something better on gas and I couldn't stand owning a civic...so now I get 35mpg without any compromises. Also have a project...but its not a Jeep.

 

My pockets aren't as deep as some others lol My DD is a 2014 Hyundai Accent hatch with a few cheap extra's to make her not so boring. The gas mileage on this is unbelievable compared to the XJ

 

love this thing. it serves DD duty well. if I wanted an offroad XJ I'd buy another one and tear it up instead. this is the first time in awhile I've had less than 2 vehicles. I plan on buying a c5 or c6 vette when my house sells, but my patience is growing thin.
