I am replacing all 4 tires on the Mustang using a Harbor Freight manual tire changer. Might buy a balancer from Harbor Freight, might not. Undecided. Some say you can drive on unbalanced tires and wheels without issue up to about 50mph. Some say 60. Some say 70. Most of my drive to work and back is around 35-45. No highways, all backroads. What have been your experiences with this?

Your money would be better spent on getting your wheels and tires professionally balanced. I've never considered driving on ones that weren't.

I'd drive it with no hesitation..... straight to the shop to have them balanced.

Drove it back and forth to work a couple days unbalanced. Didnt want to but had to be done. Speed limits were 35-45. No shakes or anything out of the ordinary. Stable. They have since been balanced by a shop. $42 and change.
