Default rear diff breather vent

I know this isn't a jeep question BUT...... I am building a camp trailer to tow behind my jeep and its a 84' s10 rear frame/bed/axle. It has axle over spring because it was a 2wd , my mechanic friends said I should be able to just flip the axle and do a leaf over so it will lift it a few inches , knowing the gears will be spinning in reverse. My QUESTION is.....how do I remove if possible the breather vent nipple/fitting so I can plug it so gear oil doesn't drain? Thanks ahead for anyones help.

Just buy new perches and weld them on. Then pull the spiders and ring gear.
Seems like it would be a heavy trailer.
If you really are dead set on flipping it just put a regular bold in the breather bolts spot. Would want to coat the threads prior to install.
If you do just cap it you could probably expect the seals to go out because the pressure build up would have no where else to go

Just ended up buying spring perches , but why should I have to remove the spiders and ring? I'm going to re tap the breather fitting because I accidentally snapped the nipple off trying to remove it , and I'm going to install a accordion breather I bought.

You don't have to, its just less parts contacting each other which means less heat and less problems
