Project Thunderchicken.
I've been walking my dog past this thunderbird everyday for a couple years now. Always had my eye on it because I previously owned one. I enjoyed that car. So three days ago there was a for sale sign on it for 700. Yippie. I called right away. Payed cash. changed oil, dumped gas down the carb and it fired right up and drove me home.

Got it home and washed it. Paint was killed by the sun. According to the family they moved it out of the garage in 2006. Original owner car. So I got out the buffer and buffed out the paint. Next on list is to change trans and diff fluid.

Does anybody out there know anything about these vacuum operated headlight switches? Headlights wont open unless I pull of one of the two lines closet to the left. Right one doesn't do nothing.

So I go and sign up to a thunderbird forum and they want money. LOL. Guess that's what I get for having a Ford. This place is free. Jeep people are the greatest. Sent Jeep parts across the country without pay pal with hopes that I get paid. Everyone has paid. Good people.

That thing would be cool as a convertible... I've always liked giant convertibles, for some reason.
Eldorados are freaking awesome.
Just a random thought.
Anyway, good luck, nice work so far.

I was thinking of putting some steelies with some aggressive tires that stick out the fenders and tint the windows. Make it a mountain car. Came from the dealership with the high altitude carburetor.

Yeah. Dealt with them before on several muscle cars. Pretty sure its a vacuum check valve. Put this project aside for the moment. Just ordered the long arm and steering upgrade for my XJ. You can find my progress with that here. Will update when I get the parts in the mail. https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/90-...y-91-a-181505/
