Well shoot. It is Christmas and the boy couldn't come here and wheel with me because he is sicko. So I did a little exploring and then gave him a little present. We have not finished the top on the Mite because we couldn't find any pics or anyone who knew what the brackets for the vertical rod behind the door. Finally, he found this on a Japanese web site.

That was enough to let me know what it looked like and where to put it. So I made this crude one, which I will refine later and use something besides drill screws. Just couldn't find a hardware store open today.

So with bracket and rod in place, I mounted a side curtain. We still have to get some more footman loops, but they at least are available.

Merry Christmas Son

Took a little time before rebuilding the turbo on the Subaru today to put the other side curtain on HUM WEE. It was cold and blowing, hands were getting numb and if I had it to do over again, I would have all the hardware on and ready to go and assemble the top and then put it over the hoops. Once this baby shrinks, it is tough to get everything just right.

Thanks. Just spoke to my son, we think he will be here Sunday. If so, we will wheel in the new year.

I was watching pawn stars the other day, and someone tried to sell one that looked like yours! Love these things!

I didn't see that show, but my son did. They offered the guy a fair price for a restored one. But he thought it was worth more than it is.

Been gone for awhile, so yes there will be updates. Currently the engine is out. We are torn between trying to rebuild that Volvo engine and converting to 2.8L V6. Time will tell on that one
