Do you do track days, or just road rides? I just got rid of an '05 Triumph Speed Triple, and had it shod with Michelin Pilot Road 2's. Excellent wearing,( - my Triumph was my DD) and not too bad handling for the road, but was useless for the track.

I sourced used (but not worn out) 'Metzler Slicks', or 'Pirelli Dragon Slicks' Race Tyres for the track days, from a buddy of mine who raced GSX1000's. I then replaced the Road 2's when the day was done. With the race tyres, I could push my riding, without fear of the tyres loosing it... before I did!!

Damn near impossible to find a tyre that will fit all riding types. Just don't buy the cheapest tyre, they're cheap for a reason - they're rubbish.

thats my 2cents.....

i run pirelli diablo strada. i did the research and people say they get about 9000 miles out of'em. so far i love them. i ride a lot of curves and it will stay soft and warm forever. and you can actually lean a bit even on wet pavements.
but if you just want the best tire for the price, then shinko is what you're looking for.

^Ha ha... I know what you mean.. I REALLY miss the Triumph.., However, I still have the use of all my limbs.

4Wheeling isn't a bad substitute to biking. - it's ALOT safer...
