I dont really miss the scout to much. My wifes grandpa worked for IH until he retired. He currently owns two scouts in pristine shape one of which has been promised to my wife and I in the near future. Mine looked awesome and ran good but it was a factory 4 cylinder. It had the gearing to get the job done but a scout with a 4 banger never really felt right. It was a good thing to because it still had drum brakes. Grandpas are both V8s with factory disk brakes, nice trim levels, and have never been abused or modified so sooner or later I am almost guaranteed to have another one even nicer than mine. Until then I am going concentrate on the XJ. The scouts are just getting to hard to come by to take out and beat up on the trail. I dont like wheeling with something that I am afraid to scratch.

had it been me I would have been in jail lol. Guess the judge wasn't looking at the ticket when he made that ruling :P

I honestly think mine has managed to keep a good driving record not because of skill but because of the magical properties of tig ole biddies.

this. my exwife is an attractive girl. she has been pulled over 30+ times. 0 tickets. her cars get destroyed because she is a terrible driver. constantly hitting objects and vehicles. I was with her a few times. one I recall in particular she was clocked going 104 in a 35, we were in a ws6 trans am btw. no ticket, no written warning. nothing. she cried and got off scot free. then laughed about it afterward. she is now a lawyer lol.

Im just glad it did not get the rear quarter. I can handle replacing a fender but the rear quarter on a scout is way out of my league when it comes to body work. I crushed the rear quarter on a full size bronco once and about had to take a loan out to get it fixed. Definitely not a bolt on replacement.

Meh, you can learn. Think of it as a challenge.
