Heard her fire for the first time! Had to start it with starter fluid, not getting any fuel.

Got a new mower today, 12.5 hp Briggs and Stratton on a murray. Needs a new float in the carb, but I can't find them.

Put a pump on the big mower today, but still couldn't get it to stay running for some reason, then it started getting icy out so we took the other mowers out to play, which resulted in more work for us.... Attachment 282140 Attachment 282141 One of the rear tires lost its bead in a mud hole.

Now I'm building a bumper for the front of the red murray.

Put some ag tires on the Murray. They do really good.

Anyone know how to keep the rim from spinning inside the tire?

SatiricalHen 01-31-2016 01:03 AM

Pulley swapped, locked, added bearings to the transaxle, did an oil change, and replaced the float on the red mower. Now it is really sketchy, really fast, and sucks at turning.

Got me a new project to work on, 1970 Sears suburban 12

Thinking about just cleaning it up and putting on clear coat keeping the patina. Runs and rides, seems good so far, I'll modify the plan as I go.

Did one of the fenders to test how the clear coat on the patina would look, and I think it's going to look awesome when I'm done.

Brings out so much more color, and it's so rich looking.

No, you use short screws that only go into the bead maybe 1/2 way....but not all the way thru the bead.

Thinking about getting a $50 harbor freight winch to put on the front of this mower. Just weld on a mounting plate and wire a switch into the dash. Then I'll rebuild the rear frame where I ripped the back off pulling logs.
