Well I've been playing with mowers a good bit lately. Figured I'd post some about my mowers. The first mower I took offroad I blew up the rear end in it and it sat for a while. Attachment 281514 Then someone gave me a mower that had carburetor problems. It was a 13.5 hp I think, but I didn't feel like dealing with it so I took the 12 off the mower I broke and threw it on this one. Here's how it sits now, I welded a bumper for it and filled the tires with windshield washer fluid Attachment 281515
Then I had a snapper for a bit and fixed it then traded for 2 frames and 3 engines. Now I'm working on a 20 hp mower with 3 speed hi and lo range.

Now here's the progress on the current project. Cleaned the gas tank and the carb, changed the "oil" and now I'm checking the engine compression and trying to figure out where to go now to get it running. The 20 hp only has like 65-75psi on both cylinders, I don't know what the specs should be, and I don't know where to go from here.

Took off both heads on the 20 hp and the valves are all loose, so I'm going to adjust them and do a valve job, then get new head gaskets (if I can find them) and hopefully she'll run!

Got the brake fixed on the 20 hp which I think I'll call tow mower or the tow pig.... I don't know which yet or maybe something completely different....

Tore the mower down even further and painted most of the parts. Hopefully I'll be putting it back together tomorrow and then doing the valves and then I'll just need head gaskets and it should be good.

Waiting for head gaskets and then hopefully it'll be together and running.

The tires on the front are awful, so I'm thinking about taking some rear tires I have laying around and putting them on the front of this thing. It has 16" tires on it now and the ones I have are 20" tires. Also tried my "compact spare" from my jeep on it just because.

Got it mostly back together. All that's left is a button for starting, head gaskets, battery, and tires and should be good as new.

You could cut a head gasket maybe? Ha. Piece of thin sheet metal and some ARB bolts? Upgrade!!!

already ordered the gaskets, just waiting on them to come in.

Might put some old rear tires from a smaller mower on the front, but I'll have to get creative with the mounting if I use them.
