Default Motorcycle help, rf600 power is jerking

I have an rf600 with 18,000 miles just started one day getting super jerky power in second third and fourth gear between 3 and 9 k rpms and getting the worse around 6 and then getting a little better and going away by 9k rpms, I thought it was the carbs/fuel so I had them cleaned and serviced, which was much needed but the jerky power is still going on. The jerky power is best described as power, power, power, power, power, with about 1/4 of a second gaps. I have tightened the chain and changed the spark plugs, I can't really think of what it might be.

Gotta start somewhere, might as well do a compression test.

Well can't find a compression test that fits my bike but I did see that the third cylinders spark plug has alot of carbon build up I changed the spark plugs and still does the power, power, power thing...

LOL, compression testers are all universal not brand and/or application specific. It's a start to figure out why it has a dead cylinder. If it has reasonable compression across the board, it's either fuel or spark.

None of the shops had one that would fit my spark plug socket, but a home made remedy and compression is fine, talked to a shop and did a little work and found out the exhaust valves need cleaned and shimmed, did a little cleaning and working better still getting a little jerky, but considerably better

honestly my advise is make sure they did the carbs right most shops don't. Then you really need to try and do a compression test if it were me I would pull the top end of and really look at it. Also check the timing it my be off or jumping a little.
