Mike, I found this salvage lot in Wolf Lake, IL and thought it might interest you. They have almost 20 acres of heavy machine parts, and even a few Gehl skid steers in inventory.

Thanks, I was looking for a Back Hoe attachment... Maybe they will have one!
Here's where I'm at now. Things have been a little slow waiting on parts and the Factory Service Manual to get here.
The Gas Tank has some rust on the inside so my Por 15 kit gets here tomorrow to repair that. The Tank has to go in first so I've been doing other things to get ready for the reassembly.
I painted the floor boards black where my feet will go. Even threw in a few stripes so I can see where to step. The axel bearing seals showed up today so I got the bearings repacked and back in. Tomorrow will be a big day as long as the tank restore stuff goes well. Progress should be quicker from here on out. I have to repair the red fiberglass chain guards in the back ground and paint them tomorrow too.

Used the POR 15 motorcycle gas tank repair kit. Worked out very nice. See the finish in the picture taken down the filler neck. This tank is heavy so rotating it for the coating and cleaning solutions to work was a good work out!
I adhered 1/8" thick plastic strips (3" wide) to the bottom of the tank. This will allow the tank to stay off the floor and out of any water. The strips are adhered to the tank with marine polyurethane caulk so no moisture can get between the tank and strips.
POR 15 sent me a brochure with my $40 purchase. I was surprised how many different POR 15 products there are. Gonna' have to use them more often for more things.
Nuts and bolts ready to sand blast mounted on cardboard. I took picture because most of the writing will be gone after I blast. I'll paint most of them right on the cardboard and then install them as I go. Helps me find everything.
Should be rolling now... Just picked up 2 more bags of that black slag blasting media. Tomorrow the tank goes in along with a lot of other stuff.

Put the right hand Hydro drive in today. Need a part for the left hand drive so I'm going to have to wait for a few days for it to arrive.
The original company (Hydra Mac) in Minnesota went out of business that made these drives for Gehl. Then Power Equipment Corp bought the rights to make the parts. Then Power Eq. Co. went belly up too...
Had to chase down the guy that bought all the original drawings and the rights to make the parts. He is still making all the original drive parts for the Gehl 2500 and 3000 Skid Steers.
Interesting...
The Technical people at Gehl didn't even know about this guy!
I'll have to call Gehl back and introduce them to this guy...

Well... Had a slight mishap on the restoration. Didn't know there was an inner lock-ring on one of the drives. Put the puller on there and proceded to rip half the lip off where the lock-ring goes!
The Guy that bought all the prints and rights to these old Gehl parts is trying to find me a new one or have one machined.
I got ahold of him once but haven't received a return call on the status.
Rather than wait I welded up the lip and then took a cut-off wheel and put the groove back in.
Now have the part along with the drive back in.
Still haven't heard back from the guy...
Oh well... the show must go on.
Thanks for the kind comments. Any ideas would be great also.

Good Progress Today
Made good progress on the re-assembly today. Going to buy engine oil and Hydraulic fluid tomorrow and hopefully go for a ride!
