Most likely any Pinto you have ever seen lifted is a Pinto body joined to a 4x4 truck frame, most likely a CJ or an early Bronco. Used to be a big thing back, in the 70s- early 80s, to mount car bodies on 4x4 frames. Hank Williams, Jr. even special ordered a brand new Corvette from the factory built as a 4x4.

Yea I know you can swap frames but there is a guy into town that fabbed his up without swapping frames. It's just an idea for the future.

Why not in High School I had a Chevette with a 4" coil lift and snow tires, we did that with miss matched parts from a S10. I use to take it to the Bogs and to the local trails down in Va Beach, VA it was a fun little 4 door that got all kinda looks...

Chevettes are like VW bugs and Vegas, they will go just about anywhere!

Haa, I've always chuckled at the pictures I've seen of lifted Pintos, but in all honesty... why not? Most commonly they're on Bronco frames, but modifications can be made to keep from doing that type of swap.

As for Chevettes, for a name that blends Chevelle and Corvette, they sure are one sad little jalopy. But they make good demolition derby cars! I ran one in three derbies one summer, total of 5 heats, winning third place in its final run. You just couldn't kill it.
