liberty ??????
My sister-in-law has a CRD Liberty and its awesome. But they are a pain to work on. They are complicated and if there is a problem with the motor we take it to the dealer. When its running good that thing is a beast. It will outsmoke a Cummins if you drive it easy for a while cause it builds up soot in the exhaust. She wants to get rid of it and get a manual one. They didnt sell them in the US so we might have to import it. My brother and I want to lift it and just play with it but she wont let us. But i might be adding a 2nd diesel Jeep this winter to the family, in the form of a 4BT Cherokee.

I'm thinking about getting my wife one.......either that or the little Compass. Those things are nice and just her size. Course, that would probably make mine the kid ride...which would mean I have to get rock rails sooner so the boys can actually climb up in with some sort of grace

Get the Patriot. My wife has one and ive never felt so safe and at ease when my wife leaves in the winter. My XJ has slips front and rear and could only hope to be 1/2 as good on ice and snow. That thing is a tank. Not so good in mud, ask me how I know. Motor Trend did a test and said the patriot is muck better of the two. For winter and off road. I got almost 33 mpg on a trip with it.Not bad for full time 4x4.
Indeed. Thanks for that info. 33 ain't bad at all in FT 4x4. We don't get much snow and ice here in Texas, but this year at least we've had enough rain to drown a catfish.

I reject that statement, and insert my KJ as proof. Bring on the haters.

My wifes Patriot has the water fording package. It works great. I went through a flooded road and drug my fingers in the water as I did . Water almost came to the door handles . Not too bad for a pos huh.
