Talk about mixed messages ... I never did understand why this guy posted this thread with the title "just for laughs" and then proceeded to post 13 pictures of a "summer car" that he is obviously very proud of. I guess he wasn't sure of the reception it would get on a Jeep forum ...?

gorgeous looks, cheap sticker price, a great community of Hyundai weirdos and a V6 when the competition was only offering 4-cyls. now that its pretty much fully bolted it'll run with just about everything in its class of cheap FWD coupes... which has shrunken down to just about nothing lately, LOL. plus, its not a honda.

dude that was a sweet ford contour sleeper haha i cant believe someone would put that kinda money into the engine bay on that car. sweet pics tho, ive never seen jeeps like that at car shows around here. one of my friends has an 88 wrangler and another friend with a 00 grand cherokee, they can flex on eachothers wheels, thats about the best ive seen.

i think the jeep guys were members of a local 4x4 club, lifting trucks is pretty popular out here in western N.E. especially in the rural areas.
it depends on the engine (they have either a 2.0L I4 or a 2.7L V6)... but theyre not very fast. especially not stock. mid-15's. mine is probably capable of low 14's if i had a decent clutch, but im making well over 200hp at the crank. it scoots pretty well in the lower gears (i can rip off mid 6 second 5-60 rolling starts all day) but it weighs about 3000lbs so its kind of a tank. its fun to drive though and its definitely a good looking car.
