Not unless you put one in. The J10s were all gasoline, as I recall.

If the diesel is original, I would get that. If not, I would go for the 360. Isnt the 360 a 5.9? Not sure on that though...

indianajeepman 06-26-2009 11:41 AM

ya but not chrystler
its amc ya im for sure getting the diesel

dlundblad 06-26-2009 11:46 AM

I figured it was AMC seeing how Chrysler bought them out in '87 and the truck is an '82... I got some Jeep smarts... LOL:sorcerer:

But yea, if the diesel is original, I would get it... If you dont mind my asking, how much to they want for them?

indianajeepman 06-26-2009 11:54 AM

the first guy posted at 475 for one and 875 for the other guy said 2500 for the blue and 1500 for the green after talking and finding out he has not had a job for two years he told me 1900 for both so im goin to go to him with 1500 and say here cash in my hand if he says no i will just get the blue one.

and amc was officaly bought out in late 88
so pre mid 88 is amc.

:surrender:

Having a J10 would be sweet... And I assume that the truck is from Indiana? Every J10 that I have seen is a little on the rusty side and I have seen most of the J10s at junk yards anyway. Do those seem to be in good condition? It is a little hard to tell from the pictures.

indianajeepman 06-26-2009 12:19 PM

the green is like no rust.
the blue is all surface rust except three holes but it runs awesome
so if i get them i would take it to my uncle he was a body man.
the green one is the cleanest and the blue is not.
the blue is diesel and thats what makes up for it and on record i would be secound owner:thumbsup:

Hm. Any idea what you might want for the gasser? I've got family in IN, so I've already got an excuse to come out that way anyhow (probably take Amtrak out and drive back?)

Especially since it's a 74 - means I can keep the California Air Police out of what's left of my hair...

indianajeepman 06-26-2009 05:37 PM

it does not run and its in awesome shape body wise except for the bed its rotted out
idk ill have to think about it

Why for don't it run?

indianajeepman 06-27-2009 12:58 AM

the mechanical fuel pump went out so they wired a electric to it and it blew out the diaphram o ring or something and it runs but it runs out of gas fast i guess

Sounds easy enough - but I'd probably go back to the mech pump for the time being (until I can get my 88XJ back in trim, then I'd turn the 360 into a fuelie...)
