Well today I was looking at a classified ads magazine and saw a Comanche for sale. I was a long- bed with the metric ton package which also has the D44 and it was a 4X4 with the 4.0. It has 160,000 miles on it and they wanted about $1200. The body look to be pretty solid for an Indiana Comanche. I showed it to my friend and tried to convert him to the Jeep religion... He said that his Ranger had way more miles than that and that it was a 2WD... so it may be a good buy... Hopefully he can talk his dad into letting him do a trade... Oh and listen to this, he showed the manche to my welding teacher and he said that with the 160,000 it was about dead... I just laughed...

I was telling my dad how cool it would be to have that, but he said, "what would you drive in the winter" Believe me, If I lived in a year- round warm state, a Comanche would be my vehicle for sure...

Here is mine. '89 2WD and parked due to a blown BA10/5 but being replaced by an AX15. Some rust but the Renix runs great. So it is repairable. Got almost everything to convert it to 4WD but will hold off for awhile and just enjoy driving it some first.
