Default Fuel Rail Leak?

Okay so, I have an 08 Diesel - when I bought her and took her to the mechanic, he said my fuel rail pressure is dropping and they and that he can't get the part. His solution was to constantly have to plugged in. Now I live in Canada so it does get cold. She has had 0 issues starting up if she has been plugged in.

A few weeks ago, I didn't have her plugged in and of course she didn't turn over. All of my lights came on, etc so I know it isn't the battery. I plugged her in for a good 6 hours and by that time it was +8 outside and still would not turn over. I ended up getting her jumped and she started.

Two days ago, same thing happened where I did not plug her in and she didn't turn over. Except this time, she was plugged in now for almost 20 hours and was jumped twice with no success. I decided to try the Quick Start spray and she fired right up.

Any thoughts on what the heck is actually going on??

You obviously don't have an XJ Cherokee Jeep. Please see the helpful post below.
To all users of CF:

PLEASE, before posting technical questions, take some time to help others out, by adding details in the user control panel. There's 2 ways to do this. First, in the upper left corner on the front page of the site, is a menu button labeled UserCP.

After you click on that you'll see this menu:

Please take the time to click on the highlighted sections and fill out the vehicle information for your vehicle. The signature link is also helpful for any additional information like mods done, links to your build or other vehicles owned.

This helps EVERYONE out by informing them immediately about your year, make, model, etc.

These details are necessary for responders to accurately answer your questions without guessing or having to ask what are the specifics of the vehicle you are referring to. You can add these details easily and permanently by creating a signature or adding your truck details to your existing signature.

5 minutes of your time doing this now will save a ton of time and effort later.

Thanks!!!
