We have a new addition to the family. I'm sure that many among you would probably not approve but the decision was not totally mine to make. The decision maker and owner/buyer in this case was none other than my ever-loving bride of 21 years. She retired her '96 Ford Contour V6 (Thank God!) in favor of a 2010 Subaru Forester XT Limited. I'll say it's a nice looking and fun to drive SUV-like wagon, but of course it is certainly no Jeep. The issue here is the fact that maintenance and upkeep (beyond warranty) will fall squarely on my shoulders, as was the case with that God-awful Ford Contour (may it rest in pieces). Does anyone among you know of a Subaru Forester forum that nearly equals the integrity and reliable technical content/guidance of this most-revered room-full of good 'ol american know-how and ingenuity? Please recommend and advise?

Best Regards to you all and Happy Thanksgiving, Cherryokee (Tom).

The problem I have seen with most subaru forums is that most of them center around the STI. So instead of the typical " How big of tire can I fit factory?" question you are getting "How big of turbo can I fit?". Ha ha, Subaru's are nice cars I for sure wouldn't turn one down.

Agreed on both accounts. Those boxer engine's will go forever if you keep them maintained properly. Besides there funner then all hell to drive in the snow, nothing like 4-wheel drifiting in a suby....unless its in a cherokee

X3, In a perfect world I would own both my Jeep XJ and a Subaru (WRX or Legacy) bada** little cars... I also wouldn't mind an Audi, but that's getting a little too expensive
