ok so i went to check my sisters oil and the plastic handle and it came right off the dipstick...the dipstick itself is stuck in the tube.I was thinking of using a tubing cutter about 2inches below the top and cutting it pulling the dipstick then joining it back together with a piece of tubing and hose clamps.

You could try that. You are going to need a tight seal. An oil leak could develop. Plus it may not be the most accurate at reading the oil level.

It may be easier to just get a new tube from a dealer or junkyard.

an oil leak could develop that high on the dipstick...its pretty high it sticksd up about an inch or two above the valve cover

i cant find it but theres a thread n here where some one could get the tranny dipsick out of the pan and they did the same thing so thats were i got the idea from..theres was about an inch away from the top of the pan

well i was messin around with the car and my dad decided to push on the dipstick and it fell down further...i was at a loss and there was a lot of cursing going on and i went to the basement to find a maghnet.While in the base ment i saw a pice of rubber hose and got a idea,it fit snug over the dipstick pipe and i sucked and boing the stick flew up and i sucked up some nasty fumes.
