Do fuel injectors make a loud clicking noise when clogged or when they are about to fail? Ive discovered a very loud clicking noise on my Ford van when I removed the engine cover to do some work on it.
Doesnt sound like an exaust leak, its a very loud click and its actually vibrating the fuel pressure regulator, I can feel it when I touch it.

Thanks.

From my experience, they're supposed to click. It means they're actuating well.

I've never heard of a fuel injector vibrating anything before though. Could be something else?

If they weren't making any noise, I'd be concerned.

The reason I ask is because all the other times ive had the engine cover off on my van, Ive never heard them this loud before and the intake manifold is vibratrating very hard at the exact time the loud clicking occurrs and Ive got a major misfire, Ive set the timeing and made sure the wires are not crossed.

Thanks.
