it does have a drain tube, but there was a sharp elbow that wasnt letting anything drain out. i also made it so the breather tube doesnt go back into the airbox, it instead goes down next to the vent tubes for the battery overflow and oil overflow out the bottom of the bike.

Probably a good idea. My FZR has dual ram air ports that are set on the outsides of the front stay, so when I ride in the rain, which is anytime it rains during riding season, water tends to get inside the air box. I've never had any issues, and I've ridden in some serious rain. Monsoon like downpours. I had to ride from Madison, WI to Milwaukee, WI (45 min or so) in a storm so bad the road was not visable. I had to get to Milwaukee, so I had to other choice. I just aimed at the tail lights that were barely visable.

Looking back, it was probably one of the more foolish rides I've ever taken.

Woah!! I go hide under an underpass when it rains that hard... you might be able to hold the road in those conditions as low speed, but have you ever looked at the back of your bike in a hard rain? You know those 2 taillights you can barely see infront of you? The idiots behind you can barely see those too, much less the 1 you have on your bike.

Like I said, it was one of the more foolish rides I've taken, but I had to do it. I had to be in Milwaukee to sign legal papers by a certain time that day, and if I didn't make it, I was pretty much screwed.

Honestly, the worst part of the ride wasn't the cold rain, or the low visibility. It was constantly fighting the fishtail that a sportbike tire can't avoid at 75 mph on standing water.

Now that I'm much more seasoned, I enjoy drifting the bike.
